Default A few suggestions to save the fun factor.

There is a time in your life, were you will get bored of Underworld and Fissure after visiting them 100 times... There is also a time were you can not get a good enough group to compete in the tombs... What? What do you do? Do you go to the arenas? Yes... but then, that gets overdone too.

SOLUTION!

The game has 3 modes of play, explore, coop, compete. ArenaNet is working on competition, Exploring eventualy becomes farming. So lets focus on coop.

After you have completed all the missions, the last thing you want to do, is the missions over again. SO WHATS LEFT? FARMING! WELL THEY ARE NERFING FARMING! Why? Because you are not supposed to farm in this game.

So I have come up with an Idea. That can make the games replayability shoot up.

SUGGESTION ONE!
In the desert you are faced with 2 missions that are PvE but PvP style.

But your reward is EXP, and can only be acquired once. So here is how it goes. A coop arena! You can be faced with game types such as the ones in the tombs, y'know hold the altar, capture the most flags, death match and all of those. And even some Alamo style ones, with the warriors at the gates and the rangers in the towers.

Point is it would do them in rounds getting progressively harder. Instead of facing people, your team will face NPCs. And instead of fame you are awarded tokens, more tokens for the harder levels, and some may hold chests containing random items like every 5 rounds or so.

And you could trade the tokens in (About 700 of them for a black dye, and 100,000 of them for somthing rare like a glowing dye, or a cool hat. And then there would be items for low number of tokens, like 30 for ales). Or you could sell them for maybe 100 each.

This way you can kick back and have some Co-op fun that has a reward and isnt farming.

SUGGESTION 2!

Guild stuff. You should have a guild butler guy in the guild hall that can make a show of fireworks, or order a few dozen ales, maybe some gophers so you can walk around with a hammer trying to hit them when they come out of the ground. It would provide a nice money sink.

SUGGESTION 3!

Proffesion based games. Say have a group of 8 rangers on a ship shooting down enemy ships and birds and even dragons.

And warriors defending a wall.

Monks supporting an NPC army in a war.

Mesmers have to hex an enemy army enough for their army to beat them.

You know, stuff to group you up with your own proffesion and hang out.

Thats all I can think of for now.

Wow mate, those are brilliant. I believe that these could be an EXCELLENT way of maintaining the "fun factor" of Guild Wars, as well as proving to be a good excess money sink. Another idea that I've already posted here, but I believe should get merit as well , is that we should be able to have collector items. Not items that you get at the collector, but rather items that are dropped randomly by monsters on certain days, like holidays for example. Runescape made excellent use of this for example, as the holiday drops prove to be a great money sink in that game. Just my thoughts.

Wow dark, I could never come up with this stuff I'm too un-creative ^^

I think that instead of just one of them, Implement all 3!

I would have alot of fun with the butler, and hangin out with others of the same proffesion would be a bonus!
